for sale

i know nobody is buying cars...you ask how i know...it's cause this squareback in any normal year would have been gone by now...it's a great daily driver and it gets looks...i know, there's a surfboard on the rack and most people are in shock so they stare...and those are the looks i'm talking about...everyone just thinks i'm a freak! and the comments mostly revolve around the fact that there's no where to surf around here...nobody has seen the whitecaps at tahoe? if you know anyone looking for a great economical ride that also is a vw...pass them my info.

late summer cruise

an absolute gorgeous day for a cruise…we left carson early to set out for breakfast at a local italian bistro then headed to the lake via jacks valley/kingsbury to head south. after the “y” we hit a very large in size yard sale…a yard sale that will happen for the next couple of weekend (so the guy said) continuing on until our next stop above crystal bay for a peek down at the seriously calm waters. tahoe city was a destination point for a bike ride down through the commons (local public park by the lake) where they were setting up for a music festival of sorts and back through the city then back again to catch the progress of the event. thirst was upon us so we didn’t get to see any performers. we cruised to truckee and stopped downtown to find somewhere with a nice beer selection and found nothing so we headed back towards tahoe to stop at an out of the way brewery which had a excellent selection of their brews and great food! after stuffing our faces we headed back into tahoe to take a bit nippy dip off the hwy past sand harbor and once cooled off we finished up the circle and headed back to carson through genoa. the skies were blue and the lake was glass all day!

vw date night

we enjoyed an almost home cooked meal and john travolta in a dress. i know, it's an image you & i will never forget... postal cafe hosted another dinner and movie night for slogoin' vws.
